Senior Farwell Video

The main theme for our video was including everyone's language that people spoke here at RCHS and saying goodbye with everyone. My part in the project was editing and adding music. The hardest part of creating this project was translating everyone's language and making sure that everything was correct. The easiest part was coming up with the idea of the senior farewell video.

Capstone Presentation Recap

I actually did not present for capstone neither did I do any of the work for capstone such as the essay or end product. But if I did do it then I would say the hardest part would be writing the essay and editing. Of course I would have been nervous presenting my capstone but I felt that since I did do all the research and know all my main points my shyness would have went away. I honestly think that Capstone was the same as just doing a science experiment in high school but with more research, so I don't feel like I actually lost something that would have benefit me in the future especially since I did do the research for my capstone so I did learn how to find appropriate academic articles.

Some of the props that I decided to bring to my capstone was a laminated paper of my care model and bring some candy.

Infographic

My infographic relates to my capstone because it discusses about the issue of disable patients being abused by their caregiver and shows the different type of abuse, why people do not report it, and it talks about my solution to the problem. The only extra research that I did was to find a survey that showed why some patients did not tell anyone that they were being abused. The whole process was pretty easy but the only difficulty that I had was that I didn't really know how I wanted to organize everything and just making sure that everything was straighten out was kind of difficult too. No I did not do an infographic during the winter term semester. No my poster is not done yet I am still trying to condense some of the information because it is lengthy. Also I am trying to change the background a little bit.

Making my PSA

Since I was typography for my PSA it was too difficult that I ended up just using prezi to create the PSA to look kind of like a typography. But when I started to use the prezi it became easier for me to do it. I think if I would have done typography I would have to learn it from an actual instructor than just from a youtube tutorial.

Main Idea Capstone Poster

For my Capstone poster my main idea would about how many caregivers are actually using health care models and how many patients are abused.
My flow chart will be divided by how many patients need caregivers, the ratio of caregiver to patient, how many are abused and this all would include statistics.
I would like it to influence caregivers to look at different health models and to understand that they need to be more aware.

PSA Intent

This website did help me to figure out what kind of PSA I wanted to do to for example, that I should think of it as a commercial instead of creating it into a lesson. Also, that I need to keep the message short and sweet and not so long that people would forget what the message was even about. It also helped me to start thinking about the  type of music that I need to find since my PSA is more on a serious note rather than for children.

MY PSA:

My PSA will emphasize on how caregivers usually treat elderly or disabled people and give some statistics and ways to improve.

The visuals that are appropriate for my PSA is not a cheerful one but it also will not be a depression one.

I would like to use a PSA that is text based and would have some song in it and some pictures maybe.

My outline for the video is that in the beginning I will introduce the problem and show the statistics with music. After that I will maybe show some clips of the solution and show happier pictures of the caregivers giving the necessary type of respect to the patient and then end it with my website that I have created.

Capstone Project Statement of Intent

a) The goals of my project is to create a model that will set guidelines for caregivers, so that they will be able to take care of the patient properly. Rather than just looking at one aspect of their disability such as, the physical or mental.
b) We should care about this because, many caregivers do not follow these rules and just look at one thing about the patient or nothing at all. This leads to caregivers abusing their patients such as the elderly patients. Especially, since elderly people are going to make a big part of the population due to all the medical treatments that have kept them healthy.
c)These goals fit in with my career because, I want to become a registered nurse in the future therefore, I would need to know how to take care of a patient properly so that not only do I help treat them but also that I do it in a respectful and well mannered way.
d) My project gives back to the society by educating nurses how to take care of their patient especially since a majority of these patient usually end up getting depression because they feel as if they are useless and cannot do anything. This result can be part of the nurses fault for making it seem that the patient does not have any options.
